Last week was action packed. We had a community yard sale, and got to spend some quality time with Heather and the babies. Merle and I picked out tile for the kitchen and family room. Jack made an awsome power point presentation for school. Zachary got 100% on his box book report - Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Allyson complete a marathon shopping spree with her mother, in search of a new wardrobe for the new job. She also walked down to the McDonalds down the street - I am still in shock that I agreed to it. The most important event: Easter at Heather's. Lots of fun and tons of food. Well lots going on during the weeks ahead, Merle graduates on May 16, we see Obama speak on the 13th (I cannot wait to see the look on Merle's face), Baby shower for Laura, and 2 birthdays to arrange.

We had a busy week last week. Jack had his Pinewood Derby. Take a look at the prize winning car. Merle and Jack spent many hours building "The Car", which of course won most original name. Then Jack, Zach, and I headed to the Phoenix Zoo for a fun overnighter. We hiked for miles, saw tons of nocturnal animals, and then got to sleep in 40 degree weather. Did I mention that the Lions were our alarm? They begin to roar at about 4:30am. Overall, it was a great experience. Ally and Merle headed up to Science camp for the weekend. Merle said he wasn't sure what he misses more - his bed or real food. Last but not least, Jack began tackle football camp. He hates his helmet!!!!!

We had an action packed weekend. We started with a trip to Tucson, where we feasted on my favorite Italian grinder sandwich at EEGEEs. (It is really too bad we do not have them in Phoenix) Next, we headed up to Colossal Cave for the afternoon. Jack swears he saw bats hanging from the ceiling of the cave. Merle and I celebrated our 12th anniversary, and our 15th Valentines day. Jack got his first black eye, and it was a good one. Allyson sold about a thousand girl scout cookies, and Zachary led his first parent teacher conference. All in all it was a great week.
This week.....

Jack started football yesterday. Merle said he is doing a great job. His first game is in March.
Zachary will start training Jake next week. It will be nice if Jake would stop chewing everything he comes in contact with - including Zachary's arms! Allyson tried out for her school talent show. She and her crew put together a comedy routine, cross your fingers. Merle and I are celebrating 12 years on the 15th. I cannot believe it has been that long. CRAZY!!! That is all that is happening around the Hatch house this week.

Our trip to San Diego. We stayed in a condo right off the beach for 1 week. It was nice to pretend!!!!
